While I stayed in the area called Jaffa (Yafo) for some weeks, I used to go to the Midron Yafo Park a lot. This seaside park is never crowded. Often, you can have a whole mound to yourself where you can sit on the ground and look at the Mediterranean Sea.
The park doesn't have many trees, and when there are trees, one can see that they haven't been standing there for a long time. Nevertheless, at first sight, I was attracted to these trees with special shapes. And since then, they have become dear neighbors to me. Sincerely, how dear they are.
I call them permanent dancers, for they look as if they're always dancing, probably like many people of this city. What is special about the trees' dance, though, is that the dance move must change over a very very long period of time. Who knows. It really could be a permanent dance.
At dusk, they start to dance to serenity, soon to be joined by stars in the sky.
