August 30, 2014.
I left my two-year home -- Seoul, South Korea.
It was not a choice but an inevitability.
It was an inevitable result after those countless nights that I couldn't sleep.
I couldn't sleep because of the restlessness.
There was a strong longing for seeing the world that I hadn't seen and meeting the people I hadn't met yet.
The longing squatted in a corner of my mind, refusing to move away.
We had a long fight but it stubbornly, sometimes furiously, refused to be ignored, nor to compromise.
I had to do something about it.
When the summer was getting to an end, I left Seoul with two bags, not knowing what would happen next but knowing that this was the thing to do.
I spent the next three months in Tampere, Finland.
And then the next three months passed in London, UK.
Now I am in Tel Aviv, Israel.
There is nothing special about my journey.
I am the same person as I was ever anywhere.
So, the reason I started this blog is not about this journey.
It was started in hopes of responding to the care and curiosity of my friends, both old and new.
It will give you some idea if you wonder where I am, what is happening on this side, etc.
This is the letter I send to you, with topics that I want to hear your thoughts about, with pictures that I want to look at with you, and with many stories that I pick up on the road and want to tell you. Let me keep the letters coming in. And let me hear from you from time to time.
